American Immigration or US immigration is the movement of non-residents to the United States in order to live or work over there. US immigration has two main categories:

A permanent resident is one who has got the permission to live and work in the US on a permanent basis. As a proof of this the person is granted a permanent resident card which is commonly known as the green card. There are four main ways to get a green card:

• Employment based green card
• Green card lottery
• Political asylum
• Temporary Visas:
Many clients prefer to be in the US before or during a green card application. So they come to the US on a temporary visa. There are several types of temporary visas. Some of them are:
• B-1/B-2 Visitor Visas
• E-2 Treaty Investor Visas
• F-1 Student Visas
• H-1B Visas for Workers in Specialty Occupations
